The NCCFT Executive Committee welcomes these positive developments at last week’s Board of Trustees meeting:
- Dr. Gardyn, Board Chair, recognized Kate Murray for her efforts to obtain an agreement from the County to approve $18 million in capital funds for College use only. (For more information, see these two articles in Newsday, here and here.)
- Dr. Gardyn also insisted that PSEG and Nassau County negotiate with the College regarding the PSEG planned substation that is going to provide additional power to the surrounding community.
- The Board agreed that travel funds, once approved in the budget, are really Professional Development funds and should be individually approved by the President.
