Voices Needed: SUNY Board of Trustees’ Public Hearing

It is very important that the SUNY Board of Trustees hear from concerned individuals about the state of Nassau Community College. We are mindful that SUNY has the ability to intercede in NCC’s internal problems as it did in 2016 to normalize operations. It is also important that they hear from new voices along with those who have spoken in the past.  Faculty may want to read the FCCC report on the Academic Senate website. It is located in the OneDrive folder of the Academic Senate’s site, go to academicsenate.ncc.edu and once there, open “Internal Use Only” tab.

Please consider speaking at their upcoming public hearing on Wednesday Nov. 13 at 9:00 p.m. It is easy to attend; it’s remote. There is a 3 minute speaking limit. As soon as you finish your statement, you can leave the meeting. (Generally, you are put in a virtual waiting room until it is your time to speak, and you will be given a time to be ready in advance.)

Requests to speak are due no later than Friday Nov. 8 at 5:00 p.m.  Please see the linked pdf:
