  1. The priority of the County is clearly not the viability of the college. The County has never lived up to its obligation to pay 1/3 of the cost of running the college and has instead preferred to raise tuition to cover costs. Current the County Legislators and the County Executive are focused on bringing the Sands Casino to the land adjacent to the college, a placement that can only be detrimental to an academic institution. Perhaps it’s time to appeal to the state Education Department.

    1. Save Nassau Community College and save Nassau County ! Say NO to sneaky and duplicitous Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Blakeman’s longtime political megadonor benefactors at the Las Vegas Sands Corporation and their Nassau Hub gambling casino scheme that would ruin Nassau County and bring misery to its residents ! http://www.nocasinonassau.org
