Dear Chancellor
I strongly encourage your office to carefully examine the actions and statements of the Board of Trustees of Nassau Community College over the past several years. Their positions regarding the college are not just wasteful but hostile and demeaning to the faculty and students and frankly, the taxpayers of Nassau County. In my 33 years as a full-time faculty member at NCC, it is only the past few that the stance of the BOT makes me question whether their mission and goal is not to serve but to undercut the important positive contribution the college makes in the life and future of the people -an increasingly diverse group of people- who live, and wish to continue to live, in the county.
