The full-time faculty at NCC has always honored the memory of 9/11 and those that perished on that never-to-be forgotten day. Since that time the college has held an annual, public commemoration, and, except for during the active pandemic years, the entire college community and its leadership gathers to mourn and remember 9/11 together, as a “family”.
It is with great disappointment and sadness to report that the current administration chose not to invite a single elected faculty leader to speak at this year’s commemoration. It seems to us that this belies the spirit of such remembrances which should transcend all other issues and be a time for healing and coming together.
