For the last two and one half years, the NCCFT has been fighting for contractual parity for the LINCC lecturers. These wonderful educators, whose work has been highlighted at several recent BOT meetings, currently pay 10% of their health insurance premium costs.
After highlighting this inequity, the NCCFT secured a BOT statement at last night’s meeting that this injustice would stop. Bravo to the NCCFT Executive Committee and, especially, to President Debra DeSanto for never letting this issue go.
The struggle for full parity on other contractual issues will continue.
