The final push for the state budget is on. So far the Senate seems to be holding firm on no additional cuts to community colleges. The Assembly’s position is not as firm. I urge you and ask you to urge your members to send faxes to your state legislators to reject the additional $285/FTE cuts to community colleges that the governor has proposed. Go to www.nysut.org and click on “Legislative Action Center”; then click “Contact Your Elected Official” and then click “Fax Your NY State Legislator.” The fax to reject SUNY Community College Cuts is the 13th letter in the list.
